In 2002, a 1930s industrial jacquard loom came into her life and turned her focus onto pictorial topics, and historical research. Four years later, a birthday present of a book of satellite and aerial images led Stacey to the realisation of her life's purpose - developing, producing and sharing texture techniques in weaving that reflect the wonders of nature, both from above and from within. Since then, Stacey has been pushing the boundaries of technical skills to develop a contemporary language of weaving that engages, enthuses, and inspires her audience, sharing her vision and her art through exhibitions, talks, seminars, workshops and her books. An engaging, passionate and enthusiastic speaker, Stacey lectures internationally as well as in the UK, and leads residential weaving courses from her home and studio in Staffordshire, England.
